Nice work. I wish we could get that large tank here in the US. Wonder if it would fit a CT1?

well I am going ot be experimenting with a few different CDI's to see if any of it changes performance.
currently it has an ag175 cdi unit which I am presuming is a static curve unit. its a 4 wire CDI so I am presuming it is the same as the RX100 CDI which is also 4 wire. I dont know of any other 4 wire systems, anyway the RX100 is static 20 degrees, I'k going to try a blaster 5 wire CDI unit, it slightly less timing and a bit of retard at higher RPM so if I do indeed have an RX CDI I might notice a performance drop going to blaster CDI. The 5th wire on blaster is for a ground, the rest of the CDI unit is the same.

Two strokes like retarded timing at high RPM for performance.

Yeah I wonder why but I’ve sorta read that retarding the timing st high rpm can improve peak hp. this goes against 4t tuning. I can only assume that the retarded timing throws more heat and exhaust gas into the exhaust which props up the expansion chamber baffle/return wave supercharging the cylinder at high rpm. It’s definitely not pinging at high rpm as is. But keen to try a few different curves out. Might try an unrestricted pw50 cdi as wel.

well I leave the bike for a few months and more things break
finally got around to remaking the throttle cable the old one was sticky, I use teflon dry lube these days on cables and it works a treat.
also had to replace the front brake lever the perch was broken dont know how, and then I also had to wire in a new front brake switch
then I went to try to start it and no spark, the stupid kill switch had somehow decided to pack up on me in the process! bloody crazy cant believe how many things have gone wrong since its been off the road!
i think the bike has had a taste of the good life living in the shed for the last 2 years and is putting up a big fight to avoid getting re-registered lol
hopefully get it in for roadworthy in the next week or two then put it on club plates again
I really miss riding, in the last 6 months i've realised how much it just cheers me up if ive cracked the shits at something !
