Another deal I couldn’t pass up. The motor turns over and it has spark, but it’s going to need a few items that have been robbed off it over the years.

Looks like a mostly complete bike in good shape!  Good score.

Finally getting around to working on this bike. It's really not in bad condition for a bike that has been sitting around for years. One thing I did notice was the cylinder head has a dual plug setup. Has anyone ever seen a 175 with dual plugs before?

Pictures would help.  A 78 IT175 didn't have a dual plug head.

My 1971 CT-1 came with a dual plug head. The one I rode back in the day I put a compression release in, for braking when going down dirt hills. I still have that compression release and lever, but I'm not using it on the current CT-1.

The two stroke compression release fad faded pretty quickly...  the last year of the extra factory plug hole for the compression release was 1975 for the 175 if I remember correctly.

I actually used that compression release all the time on my old bike. As I said, it works beautifully when going down steep dirt trails, helped to prevent locking up the rear tire.

Mark, That’s what I thought too, but it’s obvious it came stock. This engine has never been apart.

Thanks for the offer Tom. I actually have a compression release kit that I bought for a Bultaco years ago and never installed.
