Waiting on spokes to rebuild the wheeld. So I thought, lets see if the engine will run. Bored 3 over from original piston.

When you say bored to 3rd over from original piston i'm guessing you mean from second over with a yamy original type piston. Or did you mean you needed to go to 3rd from std as was 'so' worn out. Don't laugh we had to do that on my bosses sons YZ250J after a super dusty mx. Std to 3rd in one go to get it to clean up. Yours sound nice & bet ya looking forward to first ride.

Sounds so sweet, it's frustrating waiting but you should know by now all good things come to those who wait lol. I waited 3 weeks for a neutral switch to get lost in the post !!!.

Yes, standard to 3rd because it was that worn out. The air ckeaner was dirty and rotten. The ring gap was huge. I actually got it started when I first brought it home. Had a little piston slap!

progress has slowed some, but getting close. I had to replace the clutch friction plates. Found a set in Japan for a reasonable price. Ordered on a Tuesday and they were delivered the following Saturday. Here is a video of my first ride.
