Having a close look at sales brochures for these , the last brochure to show the riveted
front guard was the 1970 series models . All the 71's are spot welded .

Thanks for the reply’s and info everyone!
The riveted fender is what I originally chose and what I’m gonna run on the bike, don’t really care if it’s original and it’s in perfect shape. Plus it’s lighter and that makes me that much faster! Lol!
