Hey guys
While I am restoring my CT3 I am also getting upto road legal spec so I can Re register it for road use.

Before I do this I have to get a brake declaration done. Basically the brakes have to be within factory spec.
Now I can find wear limit specs on the drum pads themselves but not on the actual drum it’s self in the manual.
Can anyone shed some light on this ?
Thanks

Can you not just present the sales slip for the sets of brake shoes?

Yes but the drum hub housing ,which the pads press against
must have a "wear" tolerance?

You are right. My AT-CT Clymer lists nothing but inspect for wear. The Clymer 250-500, 68-76 that I have says the following:
Examine inner surfaces of the brake drums for cracks, grooves or other damage. Any groove deep enough to catch a fingernail is cause to consider brake drum replacement.

I guess you could have them read this section and see if they can catch a fingernail in any groove?
