My DT-2 is starting up good but is slow to respond to the throttle, and its dripping black looking oil on to the floor out of the exhaust port, anyone had this problem the spark plug was also black and oily.

I don’t have an answer unfortunately but my AG 175 blows black oil out exhaust too and doesn’t seem to matter that I replaced gasket and ensure bolts are tight. I’m interested to hear what others say.

Im thinking it could be worn rings - might be time to have a look at the bore?

Hello, did this problem start all of sudden, or was it a progressively getting worse.

Thanks Mark

If bike has been sitting, could just be loaded up and needs a good run.

Otherwise sounds too rich on the air/fuel mixture, bad carb o-ring maybe? Starter lever (choke) plunger not sealing? (Make sure lever is up for normal running.) Ignition timing off?

Its always blown a little oil but not like this. the throttle response is slow I can turn the petcock to off and just before it runs out of gas it clears up and screams. I've checked the float level many times and its set to specs. It has around 120 lbs of compression. new crank seals, Trying to tune the carb with the air screw doesn't seem to make any difference in all the way or out no effect on the engine speed ?

What about the o-ring that seals the float bowl to the jet setter?

it has a new o-ring. the main nozzle ( brass tube ) has the number 188 stamped on it would that be the correct one.
