A late DT400 or the later DT250 CDI mag should still bolt on, the 3 hole type mounting. I had a similar set up on my RT2 for many years & was faultless plus no kick back. Didn't run a decomp either. Was my vintage mx bike. Actually to be honest come to think, it was a system i made up out of bits of this & that but end result equated to a late DT250 set up.
In order for the Rex conversion to work, you need a CDI flywheel from a 74-76 DT360/400. Rex does not supply the flywheel, and their setup is specific to the later flywheels. When you order, if you do, make sure you have the correct flywheel, as there are several that look the same but are different. His site has the description and number to look for.
If you have the correct flywheel, his setup should work on any of the early 350/360 models.
Yep was just highlighting last line of post #3 earlier which was " 350/360 models" but i should stop being a smart arse sorry as obviously a typo.
Have good day. I'm not lol-- trying to get at the starter motor impossibly buried on my free VW Passat 4 motion. Makes working on DT/RT seem simple or at least accessible.
