Hey There Delilah what's it like in:
Yama-Land ?

Someone let the proverbial cat out of the bag 1 day early. Thanks for all of the good information to make a really important decision to add another bike to the stable.

I couldn't be more excited.

I believe there's two holes in the fender where the tail light would mount. I don't think there's a third hole.

For those of you that are unaware - this motorcycle is a 1969 Yamaha AT1-MX.

According to my calculations this motorcycle had a production of approximately 3689 units. According to my calculations this bike would be somewhere in the neighborhood of 3169 on the production line, with 520 units produced later.

The serial number is in the 303,000's.

Owning a piece of history like this - does not present itself all the time. Something always stands in the way. After purchasing the Hodaka last month it was a big stretch. I was able to sell the 1974 DT360 a couple of months ago and that was a big help.

Captain, Dave Rymal restored this motorcycle and sold it to a pretty sizable collector about two years ago, and delivered it himself. The photos speak for themselves. He does incredible work and I want to thank him personally one more time. The fuel tank seems empty. Pulled the dipstick - slight drip of oil on the tip. In a climate controlled office space. There were some pretty nice bikes that I saw today - some that I have never seen before.

Delilah, is covered up until she goes to the show.

It`s a factory yamaha part. 69`s and 70`s came with them. Most if not all were never installed That particular bracket was a copy made by Dave Humphery of speedfab. I sent him a nos bracket and he made perfect copys. In fact I can`t tell which one is nos.

One of the very basic premises of YAMA-LAND, RESTORATIONS is to build RIDERS. From the very beginning this time 2012 when I purchased my first Yamaha was not to have a motorcycle too nice to ride or get dirty. I must say that I veered off course just slightly and got some flags wrapped around my axle, but as soon as I can get caught up after monsterious expenses (July - August) is to oil, fuel and start this wonderful machine and decide what it might need?

On the 21st. it's back to the CHP as again TITLE means as much as the several thousands dollars this restoration originally cost. I already know from the CHP officer that it is a ghost in the system. After he told me that about 4 motorcycle a month stay there as stolen. I told him that I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight - if he did not run it for me. And, he agreed.

Once this has occurred and I will know more in which direction it's going to go?
