Hi Guys,

...trying to locate these tough to find items. Anyone know where I can get a set of front and rear wheel bearings, and at least one (1) fork dust cover?

Trail & Trials in the UK makes a very nice aftermarket replacement for the stock part (292-23144-00-00) as it is the same seal used on the twinshock TY250 with 34mm forks.

I suspect the wheel bearings are still available from Yamaha. They use generally standard sized (metric) bearings and someone will post how to determine that from the factory part number. There is a thread on here somewhere about de-mystifying part numbers.

I did check with All Balls... closest I got was bearings for a 1970 RT360, but nothing for a DT1-C 250. Can someone confirm if the two are compatible...??

I’ve spent 2 days trying to find bearings... all part of the fun I suppose :)

P.S. Mako... I did order a set of dust covers from Trials and Trails. Thank you!

Front wheel bearings are the same, everything on the front wheel/axle/brake are identical between DT1 and RT1 for 1970. The rear wheel/axle/brake setup on '70 DT1 is not the same as '70 RT1, the RT1 uses the newer style as found on '71 and later DT1. I don't know the sizing of bearings for the rear, could well be the same even though the rest was redesigned, but no easy answer on that.

Bearing number is 6202 for both inner and outer front. I use "2RS" for a seal on both sides.

Clicking on part number on Partzilla brings up list of other bikes part lists that part number shows up on... here's a link to the right front wheel seal.

With a little detective work you can find out if the AllBalls kit will work... :Buds
