What does the group think about buddy seat placement? I prefer the “right up against the seat” look better. However, I have seen other pictures with it “out away” from the riders seat. Sorry if I did the pictures twice.

Pictures came out perfect.

I much prefer without the large gap... just enough gap to still get the seat open would be perfect in my opinion.

Being able to open the seat would probably be a good thing. I am glad you said that. Thanks

Mine are set back against the flaired up portion at the back of the rack. I never thought about moving the cushion forward and leaving a space at the rear. I think that might look odd.

The later type had the flare at the back, came attached to the rack so certainly was designed to fit the flare at the back of the rack...

From memory, early type were more a flat cushion to add on to the rack that I always thought looked best forward....

Someone here might have an original picture or something... all I have is a brochure on the later type that came attached to a rack.

I'm probably completely wrong about everything but my opinion... :haha

So I went back out to the garage and tried the buddy seat at different distances from the rider seat. Conclusion is, that it has to be at least far enough back to still be able to open the riders seat. I will take another picture tomorrow. It’s about -15 degrees out there right now. Minnesota
