What I Found Today at the Swapmeet #1
Been quite sometime since I have been on the Forum, but today turned out to be a special one. While looking over some stuff on a nearby table at the swapmeet, right next door I saw this AT-1 resting against the side of another seller's trailer. On the other side was another cycle, which was some sort of Honda. In any event, I put the glom on the Enduro and spoke with the father of the kid to whom it belonged. Dad said this thing had been sitting for years, (along with the other cycle) in his garage, and they had to go. So when he said $40.00 would take it away, it went with me! The seller said he recalled a number of parts still in the garage, and if i would call him, he would arrange to get them to me. Guess what surprised me most was the front aluminum fender has no damage to it or the mounts. Bike turns over, but when I pulled out the oil dip stick, the fluid was olive green. Needless to say, I drained the muck soon as I got it home. In any event, for a neglected AT-1 in it's 50th year, she ain't bad...!

Thanks guys for your thoughts. Cycle turned up at the Peddler's Pass Swapmeet in Prescott Valley, Az. Prior to 2010, when I got out of California, I used to find Enduros now & then (resided in Palmdale/Antelope Valley). However, they are harder to find around these parts. I also noticed when they do turn up (sometimes despite poor condition) they are often overpriced. However, I noticed this to be the case with motorcycles in general. When I relocated, brought a fairly decent amount of spares with me from those Enduros which were beyond resurrecting. Probably have most of the missing items for the AT-1 in my 175cc stores but may need some of the electrical stuff for the 12volt/electric start system. As for my avatar/photo, that was taken in the Mojave desert c.a. 1975 w/my AT1-B...

Yes nice bike. $40! Hell fire . You couldn't buy anything with an engine and two wheels of that era herein the UK.
One of the two i would like to own (as well,a'hem)
Something about that white colour makes it so eye catching.
USA,the land of a thousand nice Yam enduros
