Made brunch for my son, took him to the park to walk his dog (who lives with us since my son cannot have her in the house he shares with others at college), and then took both of them fishing in a canoe on a small lake here in Casper. The dog was great out on the water, though she did lean out once to try to drink out of the lake and nearly dumped us. He caught one trout big enough for his mother to eat for dinner, and now he and I are headed out to dinner ourselves...

Spent most of the day knowing - my father was quite happy and content with my accomplishments even though he was not right here next to me to acknowledge that fact.

Sometimes if you blink, the memory is gone. Make damn certain that you are able to articulate your feelings without compromising your manhood...
