sorry, posted this in the wrong place b4, hope this is ok here;
I picked up a '70 DT1 a few days ago that had the mag 1/2 filled with water, so it is damaged beyond repair (crank is still good!)
I see two options, one is the powerdynamo and the other is HPI. I see that the HPI is ignition only so that's out. I realize that I could
search ebay & assemble the parts used, but I've not had good success on used electrical.

What would ya'll recommend? Also looking for autolube parts (all)
Thanks

Pillsbury,
One option to consider is contact member DEET about restoring your flywheel / magneto. He recently rebuilt them for my DT1 and they are as good (or better) as new!! Would be helpful to post photos to help confirm if yours is salvageable.
Good luck!!

Thanks! The coils may be ok to rebuild but the flywheel is damaged, so at least looking for that.

+1 for Deet, he's restored a couple stators/flywheels for me and they all look amazing. Last I checked he might be selling an already restored stator+ flywheel so contact him ASAP.

DEET saves you money

He does things correctly the first time thus saving you aggravation..

Recently found out this:

Buy a stator and get that bike running.

btw. Welcome !!
