I probably do not quite qualify for this group but I am really enjoying the learned revelations of people here with experience of these bikes. as many of the "grey area" bits seem to carry thru and affect the 1969 bikes .

I have just purchased what I think is a 1969 DT1 S ("basket case condition")
I am still trying to decifer exactly if it is early or late 1969. Lots of confusion as I know Australia often received odd ball product from Japan in early days as our market was small and fairly unregulated.

    My bike # DT1 90xxx is equipped with -
    square swing arm
    small tacho
    matching numbers
    black oil tank
    silver h/light ears
    yellow tank,black stripes
10mm top engine bolt mount with 25mm spacers

    Any comments welcome.

I never expected to find a '60's DT and gave up looking some time back but then this "square swing arm creature" accidently caught my eye in an adjacent advert. to the advert. I was reading. Just luck...........
