Technical Reference Library

dummies
The Technical Reference Library is devoted to the shade tree mechanic.

It's the place to go to find out specifications, download a factory service manual, or read through some vintage articles from back when the bikes were new.

Here we have links to most US model specifications and Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) tables. We also have a growing catalog of non-US models.

There are numerous How-To articles (always in progress and growing!). Much of the information is available without registration. The best stuff requires membership - Membership has its Privileges and it is free for the time being.
For Registered members, we also have an extensive and growing reference library with links to downloadable out-of-print factory manuals and wiring diagrams (many in color), as well as a variety of technical articles from the day, and other resources.

We are in the process of collecting an amazing trove of factory sales brochures too, so you can see how your bike was marketed back in the day, and giving you a pretty nice reference for restoration purposes. All of the downloads are in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format.

Much of this section is will continue to grow as we find more material and members contribute more data and publications.

If you happen to have a factory service manual that we don't have listed, or an owner's manual or other technical information, consider scanning and sending it into us for the library! Content contributors get a special badge on their forum profile.

If you have a really large file - we have created a special page where you can drop them directly into our Dropbox and we will then process them. We can take files (Media, PDF, Word, or Zip/RAR files) up to 300 MB per file!

The eventual goal will be to have a database of information on each model, with links to manuals, sales info, vintage articles, and information on restoration notes as we get them.

Most computers come with Acrobat installed. If you don't have Acrobat on your computer, you can get it free from ADOBE,
